December 2011

With our fab Holiday Season now in full swing on Canada's West Coast, there are events of interest galore, including Sting, the Canadian Tenors, Tori Amos, Prince and Tony Bennett to name a few. There's an amazing line-up of live theatre performances, such as La Cage Aux Folles, Goh's Ballet -The Nutcracker, Blood Brothers, The Patron Saint of Stanley Park, Irving Berlin's White Christmas, and the fourth annual Dr. Peter's Centre Voices of Hope Concert on World AIDS Day.

Sports enthusiasts in Vancouver are having a fantastic time now that BC Place Stadium is open after an amazing half-billion-plus renovation and the CFL BC Lions just won the 2011 Grey Cup! Rogers arena is also right next door and is home to the Vancouver Canucks, where there's a full schedule of NHL regular season games available to attend in the months ahead, as well as an amazing concert schedule.

The 2011 Ski Season is also in full swing ahead of schedule, with early openings for nearby Cypress Mountain, Grouse Mountain and Whistler Village, with large amounts of fresh whitestuff blanketing the runs. Sun Peaks is celebrating their 50th season and Whistler gay ski week, WinterPride, will celebrate 20 years in 2012!
